FAQs

Most commonly, caregivers want 15 hours spread across 2-3 days. However, this amount is based on many factors including how much exposure the child has already had to the potty, if there have been inconsistent attempts to potty train, how much hands on support the caregivers want, among other things.

I will travel across the Greater Nashville area to provide in person support. Other areas can be discussed with the addition of a travel fee.

My approach is completely individualized to the child and their family. I don’t follow one approach for every child. I consider the family’s lifestyle, child’s developmental level and demeanor, as well as the child’s previous learning history with the potty. I use principles rooted in behavior analysis to make learning to use the potty a positive experience for both the child and the caregivers.

No! There’s no perfect window to start potty training. Any time that feels right for your family is the right time to start.
